Regional Day Umbria: Novamont and its commitment on the territory of Terni at Expo Dubai
On March 28 at the Italian Pavilion at Expo Dubai the "Umbria Regional Day" was held, organized by Sviluppumbria, the Regional Economic Development Agency, in collaboration with the Italian Pavilion.
The event hosted the Forum "Umbria Armonia ed Emozioni", an opportunity to present the identity and excellences of the territory in several fields, from work, enterprise, university, research and innovation, to culture and sport.
Among the guests also Catia Bastioli, CEO Novamont, who took part in the event by sending a video-message. Bastioli mentioned the initiative promoted by the Region for the strategic relaunch of the Polo chimico di Terni (Chemical pole of Terni), aimed at promoting a specialization of the area based on circular bio-economy and thus creating important development opportunities for the territory. Finally, she recalled the commitment of Novamont in Umbria, where the Group is present with its plant in Terni, specialized in the production of Mater-Bi bioplastics and Origo-Bi biopolyesters.
The event was also attended by Michele Fioroni, Councillor for Economic Development, Digital Innovation and Simplification Regione Umbria, Donatella Tesei, President Regione Umbria, Paolo Glisenti, the Commissioner General for Italy at the World Fair; Nicola Lener, Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Michela Sciurpa, CEO Sviluppumbria, Maurizio Oliviero, President of Università degli studi di Perugia, Father Enzo Fortunato, Franciscan, journalist and writer, Andrea Margaritelli, President National Institute of Architecture, Brand Manager Listone Giordano, Maurizio Servili, Università di Perugia; Marco Caprai, CEO Arnaldo Caprai, Valerio de Cesaris, President of Università per Stranieri di Perugia; Chiara Biscarini, Cattedra Unesco, Università per Stranieri di Perugia; Massimo Mercati, CEO Aboca, Costanza Laliscia, International Champion of equestrian endurance.
