Towards a Circular Economy – Untapping the potential of biowaste: opportunities and challenges ahead

On March 17, the webinar “Towards a Circular Economy – Untapping the potential of biowaste: opportunities and challenges ahead”, co-organised by the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and Zero Waste Europe (ZWE), was held online.

During the event the findings of the ZWE report, including success stories from industry and municipalities for bio-waste collection and treatment, werel presented and participants discussed opportunities and challenges of untapping the potential of bio-waste, with regards to the European Waste Framework Directive obligation to separately collect biowaste by 2024.

Among the speaker Daniele Turati, Novamont R&D chemometrics and Experimental Design and Foams technology Manager, who presented the Deep Purple Project.
