A new boost to the Italian Circular Economy: the launch of CE Lab

CE Lab, the first Italian laboratory dedicated to the Circular Economy, was launched yesterday at the Cariplo Factory headquarters. CE Lab is the project born from the collaboration between Cariplo Factory and Intesa San Paolo Innovation Center which aims to accelerate the transition to the Circular Economy, through open innovation projects and the dissemination of new models of value creation promoting the social innovation and the  impact investing.
 
Catia Bastioli, Head of Novamont, participated in the Round Table "The role of the ecosystem and innovation as an enabler of the transition to the Circular Economy", together with Carlo Mango, Cariplo Factory Managing Director, Andrew Morlet, CEO of Ellen MacArthur Foundation , Massimiano Tellini, Global Head of Circular Economy and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Claudio Zara, Professor of Finance at Bocconi University.
 
Bastioli, during his speech, illustrated how the Italian bioeconomy could give a real boost to the economic, social and territorial regeneration of the country, but how it is necessary to accelerate the existing demonstrators and the successful case studies.
 
On 21st September, in the context of CE Lab, TraceXNovamont was launched at the Novamont Headquarter and Research Center of Novara. TracexNovamont is an open innovation project promoted in order to find new solutions to multiply the opportunities for the Novamont bioplastic and biochemical value chain, exploring the entire innovation ecosystem and stimulating new flows of knowledge in synergy with other innovators.
