Novamont among the guests of Bio-raffiniert Kongress
On February 24 and 25, the eleventh edition of the Bio-raffiniert Kongress was held online, with the theme "Bioeconomy: Building blocks of the Circular Economy - Opportunities for Products and Processes". The event has been an opportunity to discuss progress, applications and trends in the use of renewable raw materials, to explore different perspectives and to promote the dialogue between science, policy and industry.
The two-day event was organized by Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology UMSICHT, EnergieAgentur.NRW (platform of services and consulting on energy for the German Land North Rhine-Westphalia) and CLIB (Cluster for Open Innovation on bioeconomy and industrial biotechnology).
Among the guests also Stefano Facco, Novamont's New Business Development Director, who illustrated the Group’s bioeconomy model and highlighted the environmental benefits generated by the use of Mater-Bi. In his speech he also recalled the importance of soil regeneration and of activating synergies and strategies at international level on the issues of circular bioeconomy.
