Novamont at the Italy-Serbia Forum on “Sustainable Green and Circular Bioeconomy”

On 26 November, the Italy-Serbia Forum on "Sustainable Green and Circular Bioeconomy" was held in Belgrade. The event was sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Serbia.

Through this initiative, which follows the "Cooperation Protocol" signed on 22nd January 2015 in Belgrade between the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and the Protection of the Environment and the National Research Council (CNR) of Sassari, the Serbian Government wanted to identify sustainable development projects in the circular economy sector, able to attract public and private, international and local investments through collaboration agreements.

Novamont was invited to the Forum as a virtuous industrial example in the circular economy sector. Alberto Castellanza - Novamont International Sales Manager-  illustrated the importance of the collaboration between scientific research and the industrial world within the company’s development model,  in order to stimulate innovation and technological developments in a multidisciplinary sector such as that of the circular bioeconomy.

Moreover, in the afternoon, the Forum hosted B2B meetings between Italian companies, potential Serbian partners, CNR researchers, development agencies and investors.
