Tomorrow, NOVAMONT will be in Brussels taking part in the conference "How to better involve Trade in Governments to tackle climate change?". The event, organized by the European Trade Union Confederation - (ETUC), will bring together the Union’s leaders and all the stakeholders of  Member States that play an important role in the fight against climate change.

Andrea Di Stefano, NOVAMONT's head of Public relations and Special Projects, will be a speaker in the panel "The EU industry in a low-carbon future, which conditions for success?", along with Giuseppe D'Ercole, trade unionist at Cisl Confederal Syndicate, Luc Triangle, General Secretary of IndustriAll Europe, Edouard Martin, MEP, S & D Group and Stelina Chatzichristou of CEDEFOP will also take part in the panel.

The main objective of the day will be the presentation of the report "A guide for trade unions involving trade unions in climate action to build a just transition", a project launched by ETUC in March 2017 in cooperation with its affiliates and with the financial support of the European Commission (DG Labor) to inform European trade unions about what the Paris agreement and the relevant EU regulations imply and to prepare the trade unions to play an active role in the national plans to combat climate change and develop a "Just transition framework ".
