#Wasteinprogress: NOVAMONT in Catalonia to participate in the debate on waste management in municipalities, touristic regions and big events
For the second consecutive year, NOVAMONT will renew its presence at #wasteinprogress, the international waste management forum, to be held from 21 to 23 February in Girona. In these two days the forum will be addressed under the theme of optimizing waste management in municipalities, tourist resorts and major events.
On the 21st of February, at the presence of organic waste management experts, will be held the Waste Coalition at ski activities workshop. Stefano Mambretti, marketing developer of NOVAMONT and Rorsa Puig Móre, NOVAMONT consultant in Spain, together with Natàlia Rovira, Head of Strategy and Communication of the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability of the Andorra Government and Francisco Javier Gómez Head of the Center Andorra Sostenible, will discuss the best options to improve the percentage of separate collection at the ski resorts during the largest influx of visitors.
The day after, in the framework of the Tourism for Progress forum, the discussion will be about Ride Green project, initiative of which Novamont is a supporting partner. The Ride Green project was born in 2015, with the aim of organizing and promoting the correct separation of waste produced during the Giro d'Italia and to sensitize all the involved municipalities that, in terms of separate collection, have not yet obtained good results.
NOVAMONT will also be present at #wasteinprogress with a stand and during all the coffee breaks of the various initiatives the food-service products made of Mater-Bi will be used. The use of compostable products in MATER-BI in the collective catering activities allows to simplify the management of waste allowing to throw the cutlery together with leftovers directly into the organic waste.
